Marked is an advanced Markdown preview application (not an editor). It watches your file for changes and updates the preview every time you save, so you can focus on writing.

Quick Config sets processor, style, and related options in a few clicks. Use the Quick Config button below anytime during this tour.

The easiest way to use Marked is to drag a document to the Marked icon in your Dock. Open the same document in your editor and in Marked at the same time. You can use the macOS Proxy Icon to quickly open the document from your editor.

You can also use File > Open. After configuring Settings > Applications, open the current file in your editor with Cmd+E.

The preview updates every time you save. In apps that auto-save, the preview refreshes as you type.

Use the style menu in the lower left to change how the preview looks. That style also applies to print and exports like PDF and EPUB. Add your own CSS from the Style Manager. Additional Styles are available in the Style Gallery.
